Heather Stanton

Heather Stanton is a longtime public servant in the Napa Valley. Heather came to Napa in 1981 and spent 10 years as the Director of the City of Napa Community Resource Department. In this role she oversaw construction of Las Flores Community Park, and the Napa Skateboard Park among many other things, including oversight of the Napa Senior Center. From 1998-2008, Heather served as the Project Manager of the Napa County Flood Control and Water Conservation District where she guided the Napa River Flood Control Project--restoring wetlands, replacing bridges, and creating various recreational facilities. Though she retired from public employment in 2008, Heather has continued to serve as a volunteer for many non-profit organizations, including 11 years of service to the Area Agency on Aging, and the Napa County Commission on Aging. She has devoted her retirement to helping Napa and Solano County Seniors and was named 2019 Woman of the Year by Senator Bill Dodd. Come meet Heather Stanton and hear some local history, her perspective on how the community has evolved and grown over time, and learn about the the quality of life for seniors in our community.
