Vin Smith moved to Napa in 1990 and has lived here since. He worked as a planner for the City of Napa from 1990-1996, then for the City of Petaluma from 1996-2000 resigning as the Planning Director to start a planning consulting company. From 2000-2014 Vin owned and operated Smith, Sickler & Associates, managing entitlement and development projects primarily in Napa, Sonoma and Marin Counties. Vin returned to public planning in 2014 as the Planning and Building Director for the City of Mill Valley then the Planning Manager for the County of Napa in 2017. Since January 2019, Vin oversees the Planning, Code Enforcement, Building and Parking divisions of the City of Napa Community Development Department. Come join Leadership Napa Valley to learn about Vin Smith and his role as Community Development Director of the largest city in Napa County. With the General Plan and Housing Element underway, this is guaranteed to be an interesting Meet the Leader. Event Registration is required.
