Jeri Hansen in the President & CEO of the Napa Chamber of Commerce. As the membership organization for business, the Chamber promotes our community's economic vitality and quality of life through leadership development, advocacy, facilitation, and education.
Most recently, she was Principal at Jeri Hansen Company, specializing in community engagement, public policy, and strategic planning. Prior to starting her own firm in 2020, Jeri was CEO of Sustainable Napa County a nonprofit, nongovernmental organization that started in 2007 as an initiative of the Gasser Foundation to focus on energy, climate and natural resource policy and programs in Napa County. Before taking the reins of Sustainable Napa County, she was Public Affairs Manager for the Napa Valley Vintners.
She was appointed by Governor Jerry Brown to the Napa Valley Exposition (25th District Agricultural Association) Board of Directors in 2014 and is currently President of the Board.
She is a member of the Board of Directors of Redwood Credit Union, which serves nearly 400,000 members in the North Bay region. She is Immediate Past-Chair of the Workforce Alliance of the North Bay, a Joint Powers Authority of Napa, Lake, Marin and Mendocino Counties focusing on workforce and economic development efforts and programs.
Jeri served as a member of the Napa County Planning Commission for four and a half years, appointed in September 2015, and served as the Chair of the Commission in 2017.
Jeri is Past-Chair of the Board of the Napa Chamber of Commerce. She is a graduate of Leadership Napa Valley (LNV) Class 15.
Her other professional and management experience includes serving as founding Executive Director of the Lodi Conference and Visitors Bureau, a public-private partnership between the City of Lodi and the Lodi-Woodbridge Winegrape Commission. Prior to that she served as Program Director for the San Joaquin Farm Bureau.
Jeri is Past-State President of California Women for Agriculture, the state’s largest all volunteer agriculture organization and served for six years as a member of the University of California President’s Advisory Commission for the Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
In 2017 she was recognized by California State Senator Bill Dodd as Senate District 3 Woman of the Year for Napa County. In 2008, she was named one of North Bay Business Journal’s Forty Under 40. In 2007 she was awarded the Common Threads Award recognizing women in agriculture who are also active in philanthropic and community service.
Jeri enjoys traveling, especially exploring the beauty of her own community and region; gardening; photography; golfing (badly); reading; entertaining; a variety of music genres and concerts; and spending time with her partner, John and their families, friends, and their Australian Cattle Dogs Zoey and Lexi.
