Bolstering Effective Leadership Through Animal Interaction

Leadership Napa Valley is pleased to begin offering a series of Alumni Education Events designed to continue providing opportunities for LNV alumni to connect with community organizations and expand their knowledge on issues and opportunities in Napa County. These events will be in person, and generally include educational opportunities or tours that function like mini-LNV class days. 

LNV has partnered with Jameson Humane and CART to give alumni a perspective and experience of how the connection with animals can foster compassionate, effective leadership, and to share key animal side exercises to augment observational, listening, and communication skills. Participants will engage in exercises where the animals teach: how to read the room, how to be present, how to listen, and choosing a common language. 

This event will include time to visit the Animal Connection Resource Corner where there will be other local animal rescue organizations present to provide information and resources regarding serving animals in Napa County. 

This inaugural event is open to LNV Alumni, members of Class 36, and adult guests. Children are not permitted at this event. 

Dues paying alumni may apply their discount to one adult guest. Registration fees will be shared with the participating non-profits making this event possible.
