Class 39 kicked off their first program day exploring how Napa is turning climate challenges into community solutions. The Napa County Library was the perfect headquarters, where they discovered its sustainability-minded Library of Things (yes, you can borrow everything from tools to telescopes!) and the stunning Napa Valley Wildlife Mural, connecting art, education, and nature.

Then they took it outside to explore the Napa River and Flood Protection Project and see firsthand how flood protection has created environmental benefits, new public spaces, and lasting economic impact for our community.

They wrapped the day by putting learning into action, teaming up to create Climate Action & Adaptation Plans. Biggest takeaway? Every job is a climate job.
