Leadership Napa Valley class 39, enjoyed Agricultural Day on Friday, October 2nd. The invigorating day began with the class enjoying a beautiful morning at Cuvaison Winery, enriched by beautiful sunrise landscape views. Hearing from Dan Zepponi, President & CEO and Steve Rogstad, Director of Winemaking, we learned about the history of the winery, which was established in 1969, marketing strategies, vineyard management and winemaking of this family-owned estate winery.
Returning to NVTA, the class conversed and learned from agricultural experts from throughout Napa County. From the important role of the Ag Commissioner's office, learning of the treasure that is the Napa County Agricultural Preserve to farming and grape growing, Class 39 were enriched with knowledge of Napa’s most important commodity.
After a thrilling game of agricultural jeopardy, energetically led by Madeline Wisecarver of the Napa Cunty Ag Commissioner's Office, the class concluded with the most important and under-appreciated people that make this county go, the farm workers. The Napa Valley Farmworker Foundation provided an overview of their program before turning it over to the most inspirational speaker of the day, Roberto Juarez, who finished our day by sharing his experiences, dedication and love for agriculture work and showcasing the work ethic and drive of both the farm worker foundation and workers themselves.

We would also like to acknowledge and give thanks to the organizations who supported Agriculture Day:
